During the pandemic, I lost my grandfather on the other side of the world. Travel restrictions kept me from being by his side or attending his funeral. I was devastated and heartbroken.
Later, my grandmother sent me his wallet—the one he had carried with him for years. Inside were photos he had cherished, and the familiar scent of his presence lingered in the worn leather.
